So mike and I are starting a new project called musings. We are alternating choosing a theme every day and creating an illustration in response. Once we get to about 30 we will get a book printing showing both of out takes on the theme. Should be fun and force us to practice doing art. Reading a fabulous book about art majors in the 1950's simply stunning! (The Cheese Monkeys by Chip Kidd) Its got a lot of art humor and stream of conciousness so its probably hit or miss with people. So I am appearently now on twitter. Its like the facebook update but without all the application shit. I think it will be better for my scattered mind so i dont need to compose an actual paragraph. ici We shall see how that goes. Currently applying to a billion internships in hope of getting one for next semester. I have found some nice stuff in the art floor after lots of stuff getting thrown out. And we got to paint all over the walls, great fun. I am kind of dreading going home, i dont really want to work, I just want to stay in Boston. I like my little life i have carved out here.
The common room is slowly getting decorated. Has alot more character now. I added xmas ornament balls from the ceiling and a bob ross print has been added to the wall along with some glow in the dark stars. I recently screenprinted a shirt with violin strings, it turned out great. I also was able to see the local showing of Repo! the genetic Opera. Amazing cult musical type movie, highly suggest finding a way to see it. I also sat through a q&a with the director and composer who really inspired my drive to just do something.

On my last photo class we watched a really thought provoking film by Werner Herzog, Encounters at the End of the World. Interviewing with people who live in Antartica really makes you think about just living in this world and what is really important in it, and just the gorgeous visuals from the natural world.

So bored and heres an update after forever! I have had my thesis approved w00t heres to many sleepless nights ahead. Finished my animation for design class I will have that on youtube soon probably for everyone to view. Um nothing new, well other than my dad losing his job we shall see how that goes. So my graphics card fried recently fuji.......... I recently got my new laptop which is essentially the same as Coires new one. OMG tablets are the sex! Annie has gone off to college already and i have a week to kill blahhh. I cannot wait to move in. Anyone in Boston should join me and go to a bar on our first day all together. On Care's bday we found a bar called the lower depths in kenmore square which had 4 pages of delicious delicious beer! yum! The other night Annie and I went into Boston to see our boys the Honarary Title at the Middle East Upstairs and it was wonderful. The last song stumbled into a conversation about Bionic cocks and the singer yelled at a girl the front row for singing the wrong lyrics, but in a silly way not in a mean way. The Academy Is... Came out with a new cd tuesday Fast Times at Barrington High which is really good. Alot slower and subtler than their other albums, I approve. I am probably going to go to their show on Nov 12th and looking for people to join! let me know.

I saw the Raconteurs a little bit ago in Boston they were great, Jack White was white as a ghost and the fan base was strange. It was fun los of adventuring through the silver line. Lets see Annie and I have been going out for 3 years now, we had delicious dinner at the cheesecake factory after finding out our desination Minatos was close due to power outage. I got delicious orange chicken with sangria and tuxedo cheesecake! Delightful. I got to see Care and Ben last week, we all swam at Annies aunt nicki's house. Hopefully we will be spending a night at Cares house next week. Other than that not much more to report. I received 3rd place in a photography contest last week! How exciting! unfortunately only first had a cash prize. I have been on a fairy tale stint recently, i bought a version of Grimm's fairy tales and have been furiously reading the fable comics which are fucking brilliant. The kingoms of out childhood fables are invaded by a mysterious adversary and are forced to flee into our world as refugees hiding from their enemy and normal everyday people while dealing with old grudges. Hopefully I am going to get another job at a local liquor store since my paper store job is sucking royally in terms of giving me hours. Sunday Rock Band is being released for Wii and the commercial advertises with Welcome Home by Coheed so i am seriously considering buying it, definitely would be fun in the fuhrer bunker.

Wall-e opens in a week gotta go see it also guilty pleasure of shear genius (project runway only with hair) starts next wednesday oooh and new project runway in July!!! Also has anyone been watching the new Venture Bros? It is very entertaining.

So updates! I turned 21 forever ago. I renewed my license that morning so I could get a real adult person license and not a duh i am retartedly young one for another million years. So i needed to get to the dmv before work so i woke up super early. I arrived at the dmv 10 min before they opened and waited in line outside with the other peons. Of course it was a ghetto sorta dmv so I walk in lie 10th in line and see a big sign NO CREDIT CARDS ACCEPTED CASH AND CHECK ONLY. Shit the renewal costs $40 i have $5 and all my checks are half an hour away. Morning off to a great start, luckily me mum works down the street so I called to complain and she lent me the money. Crisis kinda averted but upon returning I had to wait for half an hour blarg. I went into Boston apres work to bar hop with my friend Walter. Luckily I had my passport because all I had a temporary permit style license since Massachusetts is all red tape and you need to wait a week to get a real one in the mail. And they definately dont accept expired or paper licenses at bars. He was little late so my first order of business was buying a six pack of magic hat number 9 and i dropped in on brums, we played the murder simulator ie gta 4 and celebrated my 21ness since everyone else was lame and not there. Matt came later and finally Walter arrived after 4 beers or something like that. I left with Walter and we went to Church which had a party going with a decent band. I got a blue moon thar and just chilled listening to the band. We then deemed it loud and boring so we made our way to Tequilla rain. That place was huge!!!! and so many tvs and bars counters. I got a bombay sapphire gin martini (the real martini) because they did not have hendricks gin for my french 75 sigh ill get that later. Walter and i talked about random stuff mostly gossip about my hometown friends and not so far away future plans eek. Then Walter insisted i need a shot for my bday so we got tequilla shot. I remember putting salt on my wrist and bracing myself for a shot and thats about it. The gin soup hit me hard. Apparently we returned to the apartment and hung out with raquel and lonka and matt and drank another beer with everyone and apparently i stole lonka's glasses after he called me a faggot for having sparkles on me from dealing with fucking hallmark cards all day, oh well he probably deserved whatever I did, but i do not remember any of it for the life of me. Then I remember sitting down on Walters couch in Sommerville and going to sleep. ( appearently there was a train ride in between there but hell if remember).

Kinda hung over i attempted the 8:50 am train at south station but missed it. Damn so I ate a bagel and my hangover went away. I proceeded to putz around south station until 12:10 drawing, listening to music wandering aimlessly. I observed scary uber religious messages in the bathroom. GIVE YOUR LIFE TO JESUS!!! ect ect. And I had a long conversation with the crazy save the whales guy. Appearently hes really smart and is a year away from a PhD and he writes up all the legal documents to sue the government on envirmental protection of the whales hoping to open the door to forcing the government be more concerned with other enviromental issues. Rather smart man. Finally caught a train and got to finally see Annie!! yay. ^_^

Last weekend I went to see Prince Caspian with Annie and my sister Jen, It was amazing, action packed and such very lotr-esque and so much implied violence for a PG movie (aslong as theres no sex right? violence is fine but god damn sex is just too taboo to show kids no wonder why kids get pregnant they dont know what to do, but thats neither here nor there) I mean theres a point where Narnians get left behind a gate and are trapped while they were retreating only to yell go on without us while slowly being picked off by the human archers.Fuck. My family annie and I went to a restaurant called the Melting Pot for my bday. It is a fondue restaurant, they had stove burners built into the table for the fondue pots. Our server was kinda funny he was very flight attendant / tv chef he announced everything and it all came out like it was rehearsed a million times. It took all my being not to laugh at him whenever he would finish talking. So for appetizer you picked a cheese mix to dip in with bread and apples and such (we got the siesta salsa cheese dip and regular cheddar) then salad, then you picked a entree ( I got vanilla rum chicken, sirloin steak and shrimp mix). Then you pick styles to cook in (we got a general vegetable broth and also a red wine broth mixture) they give you the entree raw in small portions and you use skewers and boil it in whichever broth mixture you want. Finally you pick a chocolate (we picked dark) and the give you a variety of fruits and deserts to dip in the chocolate. Let me tell you....that was fucking delicious!!!! I also had a really good napa valley merlot.

Finally for my present I got a ton of money to get a pricey camera. All the money covered like 80% of the camera and a nice new lens. However annie got us tickets to see the Raconteurs on June 3rd she also bought me comics like black orchid which curious death of Mrs. Finch which are written by Neil Gaiman and another one called Fell, all bloody brilliant!! Speaking of comics i have been to borders almost everyday so far to read the never ending supply of Batman comics, I bought one which is really cool psycological analysis of batman through his villians called arkham asylum its art is gorgeous, drawn by Dave McKean just breathtaking really. My camera and lens finally arrived and i am soooo excited to put it to use!!!!!. Look at the beauty of the canon rebel xti 10.1 megapixels to create bloody gorgeous pics!
I also bought a $200 lens because the one the camera comes with kinda sucks but since you guys do not know about photography i will not bore you with the details, just know its bitchin! So after buying memory card and case and such It was all like $900 w00t!!! Well now i am off to paint or something if you read all that you are pretty much up to date.

So here i am, at home looking at my grades realizing, somehow......i have become a senior, i will be 21 in 4 days and my life is at my feet. Meanwhile I seemed to have absolutely nothing with it. Visionaries have written novels and created brilliant works of art by this age, and i have surfed the interenet. So starting today I have decided to try and do art as much as possible, as long as my schedule is forgiving enough i aspire to speed painting either with oil or on the computer everyday. But for now i am giving myself a week and work up to then. So first art piece is my new journal layout.I hijacked the layout code from my old one and worked in my own images. My new header is a mashup of my photo 2 final though everyone probably already knows that. I understand now the worth of buying an lj accoun now becuase they limit the html edting of the layout when i wanted to do so much more oh well, cheers, what do you all think of it?

Speaking of photo 2 I uploaded all the pages with text overlay and without to my deviantart account so you can all go and see it. I will get decent sized files of the images to those of you who helped me if you want them.
